Diamondify Your iPhone

You heard that right. As if paying a few hundreds for iPhone isn’t enough, a few rich folks are now getting diamond cases for their iPhones to add more blings to it. Telegraph is reporting that the case could cost over $20,000! Now that’s a hell of a case.

Don’t Own An iPhone Yet?

While many gadget freaks went out of their ways to get their hands on iPhones as soon as possible, there are still many who opt for Venus or even Voyager instead of iPhone. So is it price or service plan that is keeping you from getting an iPhone? So here is what I have heard so far from people who don’t have an iPhone yet:

  • iPhone is too expensive
  • iPhone is too techy
  • iPhone’s plans are too expensive
  • iPhone doesn’t have the right features (or iPhone is overrated).
  • iPhone Gen 2.0 will be better
  • iPhone is made by Apple

So I understand the point about iPhone being expensive. If you want to get your Phone for free and you only need a $29.99 a month plan, then iPhone is probably not right for you. iPhone can be intimidating to non-techies. Not that it’s justified, but technology can be intimidating to some. Of course, some people claim that iPhone is overrated, but I wonder what phone is better than iPhone (N95?!).

iPhone Gen 2.0 will definitely be better, but how long do you want to wait to get it. Also, if you are willing to wait a year to get iPhone 2.0, isn’t it better to wait 2 years to get iPhone 3.0?

I guess what makes the most sense here is if you are anti-Apple. Microsoft fans may not want to give Apple even a chance, and that is somewhat understanding. But I would tell these guys to work on their excuses as that’s pretty lame.

iPhone is a great phone, but there is no question that it is not for everyone. But don’t get it for the right reasons. Stop making excuses. So what’s your excuse?

iPhone Number Of The Day!

2 Mil! That’s right. AT&T network is much bigger due to leveraging iPhone to lock 2 Mil customers for at least 2 years. I have often mentioned that AT&T is the weaker link in the partnership with Apple, but Apple iPhone is so good that people have bought into the whole concept disregarding the disadvantages of using AT&T network.

iPhone is truly the best thing that has happened to AT&T. Even though it competes with many of their Blackberries, iPhone is expected to top them up in the upcoming year. Besides, with iPhone 2.0 coming relatively soon, AT&T’s deal will get even sweeter. One would wonder when Apple will try other networks or better yet OK unlock iPhones.

iPhone 1.1.3 Hacked Again?

Apple’s newest firmware was supposed to be hack proof. But according to CNET and Infoweek, hackers have put one up on Apple. The hack which is called jailbreak will not be officially released until Apple releases their SDK in February, but Apple should be feeling the pressure from the hackers community. They are doing exactly what they have done to Microsoft. That’s what hackers do. They don’t care if you are Apple, Google, or big evil Microsoft. Having said that, Mac OS is still much more secure than its Microsoft counterpart.
