AT&T Lowers Cancellation Fee for iPhone Contract

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

It’s true. Finally, AT&T is allowing its iPhoners to cancel their contract and save $5 per every month that they have been with AT&T. That’s pretty silly if you think about it. Your original cancellation fee is $175. But after only a month, you only pay $170 cancellation fee. Thanks AT&T! I just saved $5 and departed with $170! Shouldn’t the cancellation fee be maybe cut in half, third, or fourth depending on when you cancel your contract? I guess not!

iPhone 2.0 To Come Earlier Than Expected

A few days ago, I mentioned that iPhone 2.0 will come sometime late in Summer 2008. It seems now that it could be earlier. I can just imagine the iPhone maniacs going nuts with this new iPhone when it comes out. Apple does know how to spoil people, and I expect iPhone 2.0 to be more than just 3G or small look and feel changes. Check out iTwire’s take on this whole issue.

If Thou Wait, You Shall Be Rewarded!

Well if you indeed did wait for iPhone 2.0 and skipped the whole 1.0 mess. According to Forbes, Apple as secured a deal with Thai company to build the next generation iPhone. Among the things that we know will be added is the highly anticipated introduction of 3G functionality to the iPhone line. In addition, you can expect the design to be leaner and meaner than the current generation. I wouldn’t be surprised if Apple added GPS functionality to iPhone as well. I guess the more interesting question is the pricing and how that will work. Let’s hope Apple drops prices on all iPhones so it’s more affordable to more people.

With a new iPhone late summer, you can expect other phone makers to start to panic again. I am sure we will be seeing more iPhone killers and so forth in the next couple of quarters, but as we have seen with 1.0 iPhone killers, you can’t kill an iPhone with a phone.

Get Your SAT On Your iPod?

Kaplan is one of those companies that will find multiple ways to get your cash. This time they are focusing on iPod users by releasing an educational software for SAT. These are sold as games and I am sure all you hardcore gamers are excited to dump your Devil May Cry Blu-Ray game and get one of these babies. It’s an interesting concept, but I really think you got to be really desperate to use an iPod to get your SAT.
