It seems Apple officials do actually listen to the market and what their customers are telling them. Apple Chief Operating Officer announced at a Conference that Apple is free to look at other carriers to boost its sales [via InformationWeek]. Now I have no doubt that at&t has been a more than decent carrier for iPhone, but as iPhone reaches to new markets and market segments and as the platform expands, it is necessary for Apple to adopt an open platform in order to maximize its reach.
I wonder what at&t’s reaction will be to this piece of news…
