OK. You may have heard this already, but the rumor is going around that iPhone 2.0 will be up to $200 cheaper if you buy it from at&t store. Basically, the goal is to make the adoption easier by making the device more affordable to more people. Now I am not sure about the whole idea of selling the iPhones for $200 less in at&t stores only, but let’s hope the price comes down so those of us who have been making excuses not to adopt iPhone can go ahead and buy iPhone 2.0.

I can’t believe iPhone has still not found its way to Canada, and the good people of the region are not outraged. Well, they should be. But it seems iPhone 1.0 will be coming to Canada soon at least according to The Star. It has taken quite long time for this process to go forward, but Apple picks its markets carefully, and up till now Canada has not been a suitable model for the customer experience and business model that Apple is trying to bring there. The Star claims that is about to change, but we will have to wait and see.

Now who says owning an iPhone is not a good enough reason to migrate to the U.S.?

We all have heard that the new iPhone’s release date is imminent. But it seems June 9th is D date for Apple iPhone fans. That’s when iPhone 2.0 will be released. So if you are holding on to your older iPhones, it may be time to consider selling it on eBay. Of course, if you don’t have an unlocked iPhone, then you may be out of luck.

I heard this a few days back, but it seems the rumor is now going around in circles. PC Pro is now reporting the same thing. I can’t imagine at&t going with this though. After all, at&t has been really milking the iPhone to get people to sign up for their 2-year plans. Of course, in the end, openness always prevails. But for now, I think some of us will have to be stuck with the at&t.

Today’s been an IM day for iPhone. Almost every news source is claiming that Apple has been granted a patent for the IM feature on the iPhone:

This patent seems to be for a yet to be seen IM feature that we will see on the iPhone 2.0. Some sources claim that Apple will have a glorified AIM on the iPhone, but I think it will probably be more than that. Whatever the case, iPhone 2.0 is gradually becoming the most anticipated gadget of all time.
