Smule Takes Over At iTunes

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

So much for games dominating the iPhone world. Smule has just taken over the top spot at iTunes store. Ocarina has flute like attributes allowing to make music by blowing to your microphone or change the tone by pressing fingers on your iPhone’s face.

Now I got to admit. I am no music artist, and the best music I have made is incoherent at best. But you can share your music with other Ocarina players. Ocarina for iPhone is a social app, and that’s the beauty of it.

Ocarina

Ocarina on iPhone looks much better than the real thing (see above), so there is no reasn now to make tunes with the real ones if you have the iPhone.

Apple iPhone Beats Out Razr

It was bound to happen. I personally found it difficult to believe a year ago that Apple could catch up so quickly. But Apple iPhone has surpassed Motorola Razr in the U.S. consumer market. Motorola Razr is a very good phone. It’s obviously not in the iPhone’s league, but the low price and its standard features allow it to compete with the iPhone on a price basis.

Apple may have beaten Motorola finally. But that doesn’t mean Apple folks are dancing in the streets right now. The economy has hit everyone hard in the U.S., and unless things change, Apple could lose its profits in the upcoming quarters. The good news is there is a new direction for the government in the U.S. The bad new is analysts claim the worse is yet to come.
