I can’t tell you how many developers have sent me their success stories, and it is truly exciting to hear these stories and see how folks have used this killer piece of technology to their advantage and turned their lives around. While programming iPhone apps is a lot of fun, it comes with its own challenges as well. For starters, you need to have a bit of background in programming to get started. But more importantly, you need to stay on the top of things and work hard to keep up. The SDK is evolving, so you have to work to not fall behind.
Thankfully, there are many good books that you can pick up to get started with iPhone SDK 3.0 development. Whether you are into iPhone game programming, iPhone 3D graphics, or just want to create a simple app, these books teach you how to do just that:

iPhone Application Development For Dummies: the best book to get you started with iPhone programming. If you are new to this field and want to take it slow and build your way up, this is a good book to own.

Beginning iPhone 3 Development: another great book to get you started with iPhone 3.0 development. If you want to build next generation iPhone apps and use everything the new SDK has to offer, you need to read this book.

iPhone Game Projects: this book is written for more advanced iPhone programmers. If you want to write more than “hello world” apps, you’ve got to read this book.

iPhone Game Development – Developing 2D & 3D games in Objective-C: the book I look forward to reading the most, it seems perfect for anyone who wants to get started with iPhone game development.
