We reported a while back that Beginning iPhone Development was in the works. There are a couple of other iPhone development books out there, but what I like about this book is that you won’t feel lost if you are not an expert with object-C. You also learn to work with Quartz, OpenGL, and everything you need to get started with iPhone development. Here is the summary:
