iPhone Apps Kill Productivity

It’s true. There is no science or data behind it yet (unless you are willing to help out), but there is no question that iPhone 1.0 did reduce employees productivity in the first couple of months. Let’s say you are in your cubicle, and all alone. It’s not exactly a fast day and the shiny iPhone is sitting on your desk. You’ve just gotten it and even though have played with it for a couple of days, you still want to explore it even more. Let’s face it. You love your iPhone.
Now the dumbest thing to do at this moment is to answer that new e-mail that you just got about work. What you should do is pick up that iPhone and play with it for a couple of hours. Everybody does that at work. Employers know it, so it’s not wrong! Play with it till lunch and then you’ll have plenty of time to do some work after.
Now this may sound wrong to you, but I personally have been in some boring positions where you basically sit and do nothing for a day or two or maybe week before there is more work. But thanks to iPhone 3G and the new App store, you can pretty much burn days and months on different Apps and love doing it. By the way, who says wasting time is not fun. Go to App store and find out for youself.
