500 millions! That’s an staggering number of downloads for the iPhone platform. After all, you wouldn’t expect a fad to pile up those numbers. Apple is now officially the king of the mobile industry. I don’t care about the market share. I don’t care about who’s dominating what market. The iPhone platform and the SDK are the game changers here. There are great other devices out there. Palm Pre is a good device. So is N95-2. But aren’t you comparing apples and oranges if you compare these phones with the iPhone? [story via CNET]
