Amazon Buys Audible, Opportunity lost for Apple

Amazon.com has managed to secure audible.com to bolster it’s existing digital content. The deal is going to be about $300 million. One would wonder why Apple did not buy audible. After all, audible ebooks were hits on iTunes, and Apple folks have talked about their ability to provide content for their users through iTunes. Audible.com would have definitely fit the bill.
