Apple Beefs Up iPhone Production Ahead of Release

We have been hearing all kinds of rumors about the new iPhone 3.0. Some folks are claiming that we will see two new U.S. models while others are confident that one of those two models is an International model made for the developing countries. Whatever the case, Apple seems to be planning ahead of time to avoid pulling an Amazon on us. If you have followed Amazon Kindle 1.0′s launch, you know about Amazon’s customers waiting for months to get their hands on their gadget. Apple is planning ahead of time to make sure that doesn’t happen.
Some are claiming that Apple is doubling up its production volume for the upcoming release. I personally don’t believe Apple will be producing that many iPhones this time around. While I don’t believe Apple will be hit too hard by the state of economy, it would be a big achievement for Apple to sell that many phones right from the start. If Apple is coming out with two new models this summer, they are going to have to boost up their production volume to make enough of both models. Since we are talking about U.S + International phones, Apple is probably making more U.S. phones than International phones at this point. So don’t fret. You’ll still get your chance to get your hands on the new iPhone 3.0. Now let’s hope the price is really right.
