OK. Maybe not as bad as Zune’s direct download feature was but the are rumors going around the net that Apple is finally implementing the direct download method for iPhone apps. I was personally very impressed when Microsoft introduced wireless downloads for their Zune. It was implememted terribly, but it was an interesting idea.

Now, iPhone’s next update will enable you to download the latest edition of your podcasts without too much trouble. I am all for setting things and forgetting things. After all, you shouldn’t worry about downloading the latest podcasts, but rather having time to listen to all of them. In that sense, iPhone’s move is golden.
