Apple Sued Yet Again…

Apple is not new to lawsuits. Every major company has to deal with lawsuits on a regular basis. First it was the green advocates who sued Apple for making iPhone out of material that was not environment friendly. Then it was a few companies complaining about Apple stealing their technology. Now, it’s two Scottish companies suing Apple over iPhone’s screen technology. Apparently, these companies have patents for the technology that makes iPhone function as “fluidly” as it does.
To be fair to Apple, they did register a few patents a few months ago on new technologies that they have used on the iPhone 3G. It seems some of those patents overlap a few existing patents that happen to be owned by those two companies. Will Apple fight these charges? I don’t think so. Going to court over these patents is just not worth it. I am sure those companies will be paid, and we will forget about this whole issue. But I wouldn’t be surprised if more companies sue Apple in the future.
