Apple is going places with the iPhone these days. We already know iPhone 3 will be released soon, and it will include video recording functionality and more. Apple is not the only one making improvements here. AT&T is also planning to bring a faster, better wireless service to the iPhone. AT&T rolling out 7.2Mps HSDPA upgrades for its entire 3G HSPA network in the US is a significant development for the iPhone fans. It is not only going to be faster, it’s going to provide the Apple community to utilize the power of the new 3G network to write more sophisticated apps.
AT&T’s 3G network updates, which will go into effect soon, are necessary if Apple wants to take the iPhone to the next level. We just heard a few days ago that Hulu will be coming to the iPhone. Surely there are more video streaming apps on the way. Getting these applications to work on the iPhone wouldn’t be possible without a speedy wireless network. So the new changes that AT&T is making should make things even better for iPhone application developers. Now let’s see how sophisticated these video-streaming apps get.
