Firmware 2.0.1 Dangerous?

That seems to be the case, according to the good folks at Engadget. Firmware 2.0.1 basically has made a few phone completely and does break most software hacks that you put on your iPhone. Let’s just say I wouldn’t be trying anything with my phone with this new firmware.

iPhone 1.1.4 Firmware Available, now!

That’s right dudes and gals. Apple iPhone 1.1.4 firmware is now available to public, according to InformationWeek. I personally haven’t tried this yet, but what I do know is that the SDK is yet to be added, at least from what it seems on the surface. I bet this is part of Apple plan to ready iPhones for the upcoming SDK. We do know that it won’t be in February, but let’s hope Apple gets it right by the first week of March.

iPhone 1.1.4 Firmware due late February?

It seems more likely that not at this point. Rumors are circling around the web that Apple is planning to release the latest firmware just before the release of their new iPhone Development platform. Considering the fact that firmware 1.1.3 for iPhone was not a big deal, I guess it is better if we could figure out when Apple is releasing iPhone 2.0, which according to many authority iPhone sources would be sometime this year (No, it’s not in March).

1.1.3 iPhone Firmware on the way?

InformationWeek is reporting that the new firmware for iPhone is on its way. While that is certainly good news for the iPhone nation, you have to be careful if you have a hacked iPhone. The last time iPhone released such a firmware, we ended up with a few brick Phones, so think again before jumping on 1.1.3 ship.

iPhone Tip: 1.1.2 Firmware Phone Sound Problem

iPhone 1.1.2 firmware came out recently and many iPhone users have now updates their iPhone’s from 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 firmware. One of the issues that some of my colleagues have experienced with their iPhones is the low sound volume. In other words, the volume is so low that you can’t hear the sound that is coming from the other side. Here are what you may be dealing with here:

iPhone Hardware problem: iPhone is not perfect, and you may have gotten the wrong phone. If you got your iPhone with 1.1.2 installed on it, then there is probably no way for you to tell if this was a hardware problem or a soft issue. I would suggest downgrading to 1.1.1 to fix the issue if you can. Of course, if you are still experiencing the issue then you should take your iPhone to an Apple Store to see if they can fix it.Â Of course, make sure you have your volume turned up before taking it to Apple Store. I have not heard anyone having this experience with 1.1.1 firmware so I suspect it is soft issue, but you may have a bad iPhone in your hands too! Please feel free to share your experience if you have seen any issues with the 1.1.2 firmware.

The Feared iPhone Firmware 1.1.2 Is Coming!

As many of you know, the new Apple iPhone firmware is coming some time this week, possibly this coming Friday. MacDailyNews reports that the UK users who have been lucky enough to get this heavenly firmware pre-installed on their iPhones are complaining about the state of third-party applications on iPhone. Of course, Apple has told us time and time again to allow them at least till February to allow its SDK to be fully tested and fine-tuned for deployment. But who wants to wait till February?!
