I don’t know about you but I am an absolute sucker for strategy games. When I was a bit younger, I used to play Commandos a lot. Well. Strategic Assault is awesome for any strategy gamer. Basically, you build your forces, capture buildings, and try to capture enemy territory to achieve victory with your small army on the iPhone. The game does remind me of this classic, but for different reasons.

The menu can be better and the game can be improved in some areas but Strategic Assault is one addictive game. Good luck.

Games have dominated the premium iPhone apps category, and the newest champ is no different. But this time, it is a hunting game (iHunt) that is on the top. Now iHunt is a fun game and very addictive, but I just wonder if the programmers got the idea for this app from former VP candidate, Sarah Palin. She was a huge hunting game, and maybe these guys decided to use the free publicity to push this application? Nevertheless, games continue to dominate the iPhone apps category.

A few days ago we reported on how cool the Moto Chaser game was. But since its release, Moto Chaser iPhone app has dominated the paid app section on iTunes. More interestingly, the top 3 apps in this category are games, which shows what great hot niche the iPhone gaming market is.

It’s really amazing how many cool application you can find in the iTunes App store. For some reason, I assumed that soccer and sports would not look good on the iPhone, but boy I was wrong. The Real Soccer 2009 is one cool soccer game for the iPhone. The graphics is not anything like Fifa 2008 on PS3, but they are darn good for a smartphone.

I know I said that racing game was the best game on the iPhone, but now I have to really acknowledge that this ties that if not betters it. It’s just an awesome game. I can’t wait for the updates which includes the multi-player feature.

When I saw a picture of this game, I thought the same. Now I got to admit that I am not a big gamer, and I was still waiting for Need For Speed 2, when Need For Speed 5 came out (a friend told me), but I am sucker for applications that kill time, and this one is certainly one. Besides, I am a sucker for cars that have fire come out of their behind (they remind of dragons but only in reverse. Don’t ask me why!). The name of the game is ASPHalt 4: Elite Racing. I have not played the other 3 games but this one was certainly impressive.
