Your original cancellation fee is $175. But after only a month, you only pay $170 cancellation fee. Thanks AT&T! I just saved $5 and departed with $170! Shouldn’t the cancellation fee be maybe cut in half, third, or fourth depending on when you cancel your contract? Basically the idea was that Apple could have a tiered pricing structure where they charge a bit more for their unlocked iPhones. That way people don’t have to get sneaky and try to hack their iPhones. They can get it from Apple, and that’s better for everybody. So here is the million dollar question for you. How much would you pay to get an unlocked iPhone as opposed to a locked iPhone? $499? $599? What would be a fair price in your opinion, considering the fact that you are not paying for the 2 – year at&t contract.
