Get Your iPhone Unlocked, truly!

Gizmodo was the first one to call it, but it seems someone has managed to changed the beta firmware for iPhone to make iPhones truly unlocked. It’s sort of like having a cheat that unlocks all the weapons on your favorite PS3 game. They are also calling it an “unpatchable” mod, which I don’t believe to be truly accurate. But we got to give credit where its due. Apple is shooting itself in the foot by bringing all these limitations on programmers, and our good old hackers are doing everything they can to keep Apple straight. Somehow, someway, I believe it’s all part of Apple’s strategy. More on this later…

Apple: The Master Of Art Of Milking?

The art of milking. You may ask, what does it mean? The art of milking is finding a cash cow and milking it until it has reached its limit. That’s what Apple has been doing with its iPhone and iPod product lines. Make no mistake. I mean that as a compliment and not an insult. Apple is an innovative company that produces products that its competitors can’t even dream about. So, it’s perfectly normal to find innovative ways to make people have 2,3, or heck 10 iPods (maybe one of each color). For a while, Apple sold 4 GB iPhones to early adopters. Then we had the 8 GB and now we have the 16 GB. And you can be that there is a 32 GB iPhone waiting in the wings. But who said there is a shame in buying multiple iPhone?
