In the past few years, we have covered a bunch of interesting robots that can teach your children a thing or two about programming and technology. Many of them can be controlled using your smartphone. Here are 7 apps that let you control educational robots from your phone:
Kamigami: lets you drive your Kamigami bots anywhere. You get a drag & drop interface to design your games and create new characters.
NAO Controller: lets you program your NAO robot from your smartphone. You will be able to also sync multiple robots. Language, volume, stiffness, and other settings can also be changed from the app.
Makeblock: allows you to control Makeblock robots such as AirBlock, mBot Ranger, and mBot. You get various modules to control different sensors or execute various commands.
Coder MiP: a block-based programming interface for your MiP robot. It allows you to teach your robot to perform dances, bring you a breakfast, and a whole lot more.
Wonder: made for Dot or Dash robots, this app lets you complete over 50 challenges to learn how to program your robots. Your robot will remember your code once you are done. The app also lets you update your robots to bring new sounds and abilities.
R+ m.Task2: a software that lets you program Bioloid and other Robotis robots. You get multiple ways to control your robots and can monitor their output in real-time.
iPepper: allows you to interact with your Pepper robot from your iPhone or iPad. You will be able to control the movement and behaviors of it.
Stay tuned as we will cover more apps for STEM robots here in the future.
