Getting stuck outdoors without having a way to contact your loved ones and rescue teams is not ideal. AirFlare is an iPhone app that turns your smartphone into an outdoor rescue locator. It works even when you don’t have a strong cellular signal. AirFlare makes your phone locatable by rescuers. A detector hardware is available that uses WiFi and Bluetooth to find phones from up to 1km away.
Thanks to this app, your friends will be able to check in on you as you spend time in the outdoors. Rescuers have a web or app console to start searches and send a SMS message to non-AirFlare users. This app also has local emergency contacts, camera-flash SOS strobe and other lifesaving features.
