7.85 iPad To Be Released in Fall, Mountain Lion To Debut on July 25th?

By now we have heard plenty of rumors about the upcoming iPad mini. The device is going to have a smaller screen but a similar design to the current iPads. It will be priced competitively to destroy other 7 inch tablets such as the Nexus 7. The New York Times is now reporting that the device will most likely have a 7.85 inch screen. Its sources have confirmed that the iPad mini will cost significantly less than $499. With this report, the NY Times joins The Wall Street Journal, and Bloomberg in confirming this project.

Considering all the rumors that we have heard on this mini tablet, this is not exactly groundbreaking information. The pricing strategy will be interesting to watch. Most rumors point to the iPad mini’s price being around $249. At this point, Apple is not denying or confirming any of these rumors. We will have to wait a couple of months to find out what the iPad mini will have to offer.

Speaking of upcoming Apple products, the new Mountain Lion release could make its debut on July 25th. At least, that is what 9 to 5 Mac reporting.
