Garmin VivoFit, Wellograph Fitness Tracker w/ iPhone & Android Support

Check out these uniquely awesome ✔️ iPhone gadgets & gizmos

Wearable devices are slowly but surely becoming more popular. Some companies have been selling fitness and activity trackers for a few years. Garmin has decided to enter the market with the VivoFit. Just like Fitbit and Nike products, Vivofit can keep track of the user’s activities. It is also waterproof, learns from its users’ fitness habits, and has a battery life of up to one year.

The Vivofit keeps track of steps, calories burned, and other relevant info. It looks at the user’s activity level and assigns achievable daily goals.

Vivofit uses an algorithm that takes into account previous daily activity levels of the user. If the user consistently meets their step goal, the goal will gradually increase to account for the activity levels of the user and nudge them to continue to increase… If the user fails to meet their goal for a couple days, the algorithm will compensate and lower the goal to a value that is attainable and realistic for the user,

told Garmin spokesperson Johan-Till Broer to Mashable. The Vivofit will be available in the first quarter of 2014 for $129 ($169 with a heart rate monitor).

Speaking of activity trackers, Wellograph happens to be one of the best looking ones yet. It looks like a smartwatch but keeps track of your moves. The Wellograph device not only tracks activities but also their intensity thanks to its integrated heart rate sensor. It displays data using an infographic-like interface. The device has a 1.26 inch LCD with integrated front light. It is made of sapphire crystal, stainless steel, and aluminum. You get a tri-LED heart rate sensor, 9-axis motion sensor, and Bluetooth 4.0. The 240 mAh battery needs to be recharged about every 2 weeks.

Wellograph has apps for iPhone and Android devices. Users will be able to sync their data and share them with others easily. This cool fitness watch will be available later this year.
