In case you missed it, Apple released iOS 7.1 just yesterday. Many of us have been waiting for this release considering that iOS 7 still had lots of annoying bugs. iOS 7.1 offers bug fixes, Touch ID improvement, and some interface tweaks. It is also a major improvement for older Apple devices such as the iPhone 4. As Ars Technica has reported, apps such as Safari, Calendar, and Messages now run faster on old iPhones running iOS 7.1.
Let’s not forget that the iPhone 4 is simply a very old device that will have its issues if you choose to stick with it for another year. With iOS 8 coming, it may be time for you to upgrade. Nevertheless, the latest iOS update makes life easier for iPhone 4 owners.
Speaking of updates, Apple TV has been updated as well. Apple TV v. 6.1 offers bug fixes and minor improvements. Users now have the option to hide unwanted icons by holding down the select button on their remote. The icons should start to jiggle just like they do on an iPhone or iPad. You can then rearrange or hide them. For a more major Apple TV upgrade, you will probably have to wait a few months.
