iPhone 3GS Overheating?

So you spend your hard earned money to get your hands on the latest and best iPhone yet. You would expect everything to go smoothly right? Not so for a few white iPhone 3GS owners who have found out their iPhone picking up a new color due to excessive heat. The issue of iPhone 3GS heating up has been all over the Internet since the release of the phone. Some even have complained about the phone being too hot to handle by their face. While I haven’t experienced such issues with, you can’t just dismiss these claims. iPhone 3GS is a new product, and like all new gadgets, there are going to be problem. Those who have gotten defective phones may be just unlucky. But could we see a recall?

The good news is the problem doesn’t happen all the time. It only happens after long periods of playing games or watching videos on iPhone. Better yet, there are many folks out there who have not experienced the issue, so the problem doesn’t seem to be a widespread defect. The white iPhones seem to be suffering more from the overheating issue. But even some black iPhone owners have experienced the same issue even when charging their phones. Seems Apple may have to address this issue somehow.

Many have attributed the problem to the battery, but Apple is yet to address this issue. If you have not experienced this issue yet, you may want to put your iPhone 3GS through a few tests to make sure your phone is not defective. If we get a recall from Apple, the problem may be more widespread that thought before. But since Apple is dragging its feet here, it’s better to identify any defects with your phone and get it fixed before it’s too late. I personally have not experienced this issue with my phone, so I can’t judge the magnitude of this problem. Nevertheless, nobody should be surprised with these issues as that’s what you get with a new, just released gadget. Nothing’s perfect.
