Apple loves iPhone rumors circulating on the Internet. The company may not be too happy about “real leaks” but as long as people are talking about iPhone rumors, Apple wins. iPhone 5 rumors have been going around for months. According to the latest set of rumors, reported by Reuters, iPhone 5 will have a faster processor and will be released in September. Apparently, Apple does not see the need to change a winning game as iPhone 5 is now expected to look quite similar to iPhone 4.
iPhone 5 production will probably start sometime in July. Apple could launch the device during the WWDC. As we have reported in the past, iPhone 5 will have a faster A5 processor and could have a 8 MP camera. iPhone 5’s antenna could see an improvement as well. From what I hear, it is possible the iPhone 5 will include NFC. An entrepreneur who is working on a top-secret NFC product told me today that he believes the iPhone 5 will have NFC and cited a friend who works at Apple as a reliable source for the information… To further bolster his statement, the entrepreneur said that manufacturers of NFC readers whom he has been talking to for his own product also expect the iPhone 5 to have NFC.
Apple will be going all in with iOS 5 for the next iPhone. The iOS platform has come a long way in the past couple of years. It seems iPhone 5 will be getting limited Flash support for browsing. We could also find out more about the cloud services that the company has been working on for quite some time. A recent rumor suggests that Apple may be interested in challenging YouTube with a service of its own. Since iPhone 5 will have much better video/photo capture capabilities, that rumor is not that earth-shattering.
From the look of it, those of us who have been waiting for an iPhone redesign will have to wait till iPhone 6 hits the market. iPhone 5 will have enough improvements over its predecessor for people to pick it up like hot cakes though.
