We reported a few days ago about iPhone’s extreme success in the U.S., and the fact that iPhone is now the No. 1 phone in America. It’s an extraordinary achievement, given the state of the economy, and the pressure that there is on technology firms to perform. Apple has pulled it off for this past quarter, though the storm hasn’t hit the technology sector yet.
But Apple is still struggling to dominate in a global level. There is no question that Apple has been successful in some European countries but according to the latest reports, iPhone is still not reaching its potential in France and India.
There is such a thing as not “getting it” when it comes to going for the iPhone. That could be one reason behind iPhone underperforming in some countries. But the major issue has been dealing with global service providers. Some countries have service plans that make getting the iPhone very expensive. At the end of the day, as all numbers indicated, Apple’s global success is a matter of “when” and not an “if.”
