The idea behind smartwatches is nothing new. They have been around for a few years now. Smartwatches of today are expected to be compatible with smartphones and tablets too. A few companies have already pulled that off. The MetaWatch Strata Smartwatch is another exciting product that pairs with your smartphone to enable you to control your iPhone 4S or Android device from your wrist.
The MetaWatch Strata Smartwatch lets you check your messages to see who’s calling without having to grab your phone all the time. You can control your music, view weather forecasts, and keep up with Facebook and Twitter notifications as well. Caller ID notifications, alarms, and a running/cycling app are included. The watch is water resistant. It is compatible with iPhone 4S, iPad 3, and Android phones (in addition to Wahoo Fitness sensors). This project is currently being funded through Kickstarter.
Speaking of Kickstarter, the Stabil-i case for iPhone is another useful product being funded on the site. This is a case that aims to help you take more stable videos using your phone. The iPhone’s camera is pretty decent. But you are still bound to shake your phone when capturing videos without a stabilizer. The Stabil-i Case is easy to set up and has a mounting dock for a metal tripod adapter. It looks fairly compact too. The project is on its way to being funded on Kickstarter.
