Postifier: Bluetooth Mailbox Notifier for iPhone / Android

Smart mailboxes are nothing new. We have already covered a couple that let you know when you have mail by sending you an alert on your iPhone. Postifier is another device you can use to get notified when the mail carrier comes. Postifier is compatible with iOS and Android devices. It uses low energy Bluetooth and has a pairing range of 100 meters.

Postifier is simply a time saver. It lets you know when you need to get out to grab your mail. It has reusable adhesive, so you can stick it to the inside of your mailbox. The sensor detects change in infrared light when mail is inserted into your mailbox. Simple idea but can be very useful for many of us. The project is on Kickstarter.
