Remember the RuggedJet 4? It is a WiFi handheld receipt and label printer made by Brother Mobile Solutions. The device is already quite handy. But Brother has announced that it is getting AirPrint compatibility. Users can now print wirelessly to this device from their iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch. There is no need to download or install drivers to get started. All existing RuggedJet 4 Wi-Fi printers are backward compatible. Firmware update is also available from Brother.
The RuggedJet 4 is ruggedly constructed, as the name suggests. It is designed for thermal printing of 2-inch to 4-inch documents, labels and receipts. The device can survive a 6-foot drop. It could prove useful for businesses.
