Have you ever wanted to remember your dreams? We all dream but not everyone can remember what they experience. Trying lucid dreaming could certainly help. You could also try apps such as SHADOW to try to keep track of your dreams. It is essentially an alarm clock with advanced features to help you wake up without losing track of your dream. Here is how the developers explain what Shadow does:
You tell SHADOW what time you want to wake up, and arm the alarm when you go to bed. SHADOW uses a series of escalating alarms to wake you up. The gradual increase in volume helps you better remember your dreams by taking you through your hypnopompic state (the transition from asleep to awake) much slower than a standard alarm clock.
Once you are awake, SHADOW asks you to record your dreams via voice or text. You can speak directly into the app, and SHADOW does the rest for you. When you can remember your exact dream, you can rely on the app’s questions to jog your memory. The app visualizes your sleep and dream patterns and aims to help you get a better understanding of your dreams. The idea certainly sounds interesting. The project has already met its initial fundraising goal on Kickstarter.
