In order to create models of objects around you, you are going to need a decent 3D scanner. The Gaea Handheld 3D Scanner is a neat little gadget you can use for indoor and outdoor scanning. It has an operation range of 50cm to 7 meters. Gaea has 0.5mm accuracy and depth resolution of 1mm.
