MicrobeScope: Pocket-sized Microscope with iPhone Support

Augmented reality toys & gizmos ➡️ for iPhone & iPad

Turning your iPhone into a microscope is not that hard or expensive. We have already covered plenty of ways to do it. If you are looking for something more powerful, you may want to give the MicrobeScope a look. This is a pocket-sized microscope that lets you explore the world of microbes and share videos with others. The device is designed to work in the lab, at home, or in the field. You get 800x magnification. Bring your iPhone, and you can reach magnification capability of up to 2000x.

The MicrobeScope allows you to capture videos with your phone and add your narration. Let’s not forget about the slow motion capture ability of new iPhones. All you need to do is put samples on the inverted lens to start exploring. The device does have a light source for illumination. 4D Optical is raising funds for this project on Kickstarter.
