There are plenty of apps for taking notes on an iPhone or iPad. But many folks feel more comfortable writing on a piece of paper. Wouldn’t it be nice if there was an easy way to digitize those notes? The Mimoto Smart Pen may be the solution. It records your handwriting in real-time. You can use it as an accessory for your phone or a stand-alone device.
Mimoto can digitize your handwritten notes and drawings. It can hold over 100 pages of notes. You will be able to sync your notes to your iOS/Android/BlackBerry device via Bluetooth. Mimoto also turns your regular monitor into a touchscreen one. Use it to browse the web, play games, and draw on your display. You just have to attach the touchscreen receiver to the side of your monitor.
Mimoto looks like a regular pen but has modified ultrasound and infrared sensors to detect hand and pen motion. Its companion app saves you time when you need to transfer your notes to your digital device. The battery lasts for 90 hours of continuous writing. You can support this project on Kickstarter.
