Meet the PowerDisk: a nifty SSD that doubles as a power bank for your phone. It connects to your phone magnetically and supports ProRes 4K 120fps recording. It comes with up to 4TB storage capacity. The power bank has 5000mAh battery capacity. This SSD is compatible with iOS, Android, macOS and Windows devices. It supports transfer speeds up to 1000MB/s.
This is the first mobile SSD we have seen that has a built-in battery. It has various safety protections, including overheat, overcurrent, and short circuit protection. The 4TB version has enough capacity for over 700 minutes of video. You can find out more about this project on Kickstarter.
