BASIC is not as popular as Java, C#, and other programming languages in schools but can help beginners understand fundamental coding concepts due to its simplicity. Hand BASIC is a handy iPhone app that lets you try BASIC programming. It is compatible with Commodore 64 BASIC V2.
The app has a text editor, so you can write programs like a pro. You can not only run programs at full speed on your device but can make directories, load/save files, and perform read/write operations. It works in portrait and landscape mode.
