Apple To Beef Up Security Team, Deutsche Telekom Accepting iPhone 5 Pre-Orders?

Apple has been selling a good number of prototypes in the past few months. The company has always been secretive about its upcoming products and for a good reason. It is not as if some of Apple’s competitors have not tried cloning everything the company has done. Apple has put up with employees and testers losing advanced prototypes till now. It is now looking for security managers to help it handle these scenarios better, as a job listing discovered by PCMag indicates:

The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the protection of, and managing risks to, Apple’s unreleased products and related intellectual property….  The individual will collaborate with other security managers by contributing to, and managing execution of, strategic initiatives set forth by Director, Global Security.

The person hired will most likely be responsible for setting up security procedures to make sure future leaks do not happen or are handled more effectively. Those interested in taking such positions with Apple need to hold advanced degrees in risk assessment and security management. Apple is still searching for its lost iPhone 5 prototype at this point.

The good news for Apple is iPhone 5’s launch date is around the corner. Some are already suggesting that the phone could be released some time around October 21st. As it turns out, Deutsche Telekom is already accepting pre-orders for iPhone 5.

The company claims to not have a whole lot of information on iPhone 5. It is just trying to make it easier for customers to get their hands on these new phones when they are released. Customers who pre-order this way will receive a coupon to redeem when the phones go on sale. As Apple Insider reports, the reservation process is only available in physical stores.
