We have heard a lot of rumors about the upcoming iPhone 5. The device is expected to have a larger screen, faster processor, and a different design. But could it have a fingerprint scanner for extra security? Apple’s interest in security firm AuthenTec suggests that the company is serious about beefing up security on its products. The merger documents seem to suggest that the company is already developing 2D fingerprint scanners for Apple. That means we might get a fingerprint scanner with the new iPhone.
iPhone users are going to certainly appreciate having another layer of security on their smartphones. A fingerprint reader could work well with PassBook too. It does seem to be a bit early for Apple to include such a tech in its new smartphone though. It is more than possible that Apple has been testing different ideas behind the scenes. We will have to wait a couple of days to find out more about the company’s plans.
Your iPhone is a powerful device. But it would be useless to you if it has a dead battery. The Everpurse is an interesting product that keeps your phone charged when you are on the go. All you have to do is slip your phone into Everpurse’s pocket to starting charging it. Everpurse will be available in 3 colors. This proudct comes with enough battery to charge your phone twice. The project is currently being funded on Kickstarter.
