Most of us who have been using iPhones over the past few years never had to worry about downloading the YouTube app to our devices. Things are going to change once iOS 6 is released. YouTube has already introduced a new application iPhone users can download to their device to continue enjoying what this site has to offer. An optimized version of the YouTube app for iPad is going to be available in the next few months though.
This move was expected by Google. YouTube won’t be installed on new iOS devices by default. The new YouTube app brings a ton of new videos to your iPhone. It makes browsing through the channels you have subscribed to easy as well (just swipe from right to the left). The YouTube team will now have the opportunity to further innovate and add even more features to the YouTube app for iOS. Google will now be free to display ads as a part of the YouTube app. It will be interesting to see what other changes the app will go through in the future.
