When Apple introduced the app store for the iPhone, most experts predicted that it will bring Apple success in the following months. But nobody expected the store to be as successful as it’s been. But the real smash hit on the iPhone is the web experience. Playing with iPhone applications is fun, but research has shown that people download only 5 apps on average on their mobile device. While that is an average metric, it does show that iPhone users spend their time doing other things on their phone.
The “real” web on the iPhone has been somewhat a revelation. For years people complained about lack of real web experience on their handheld devices.
