The iWatch and iPhone 6 are two of the most talked about gadgets this year. Both of them happen to be in the news again today. Apple has been working on its own smartwatch for quite some time now. As VentureBeat has reported, one of its partners happens to be Swatch. It seems Apple may be ready to work with a number of partners to reach more people with its smartwatches. In other words, Apple is going to target various segments of the market with a variety of smartwatch models.
According to the same report, Apple could be working with Timex and other giants in this business to push Healthkit, iOS, and its ecosystem. These smartwatches will still require users to have a smartphone for content. Apple could still release its own iWatch alongside smartwatches from Swatch, Timex, and its other partners. It is a fascinating story, but we have no way to confirm whether it’s true.
Speaking of new Apple products, the company may be ready to release a mobile wallet alongside the iPhone 6. According to The Information, Apple is discussing the project with various banking institutions. The system will store a user’s financial info safely on an iPhone. Near-field communication chips will be used to make this system work, though that could always change. It remains to be seen how smoothly Apple pulls this off
