Apple does not have to hold huge events to release new products. The company already has a new iPod Touch you can get for only $229. We are talking about a 16 GB mp3 player with a 4-inch Retina display. There is a catch though: this device does not have a rear-facing camera. It does have a FaceTime HD camera and a dual-core Apple A5 processor. Here are the specifications for this iPod Touch:
Lack of a rear-facing camera could be a deal-breaker for some. Apple has eliminated the lanyard loop too. Considering that new iPhones and iPads are going to be released in the next few months, you may want to wait a bit to see what else Apple will have to offer before spending money on this iPod.
