Augmented reality apps have gotten a lot more sophisticated over the years. Thanks to ARKit, developers can bring even more advanced AR apps to the market. If you love learning about space and the stars, you should give these AR space apps a look:
The Big Sky Above Us: this augmented reality app lets you walk around space and learn about the moons, dwarf planets, and asteroids.
Space Discovery: this augmented reality space app teaches you a thing or two about what it takes to be an astronaut. It also brings a model of Jupiter to your phone.
Sky Guide AR: a beautiful app that shows you what you are looking at in the sky. Simply hold it up to find planets, satellites, and constellations. It has a catalog of 2.5m stars.
myARgalaxy: an augmented reality solar system app that brings the sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars, and other planets to your phone.
Night Sky: another astronomy app that helps you identify objects in the night sky. It uses AR to overlay constellations and has even tours for you to experience. It has an Apple Watch interface too.
