Valeo: iPhone-Controlled Car Parking System
0I don’t know about you but parking cars is not in my DNA. We all have to learn to do it. But what if your car could park itself using your phone? That’s what Valeo’s iPhone-controlled car parking system offers. Cars using this system will act independently and do not require you to do a whole lot. You can back into a spot or even parallel park using your phone (proof that there probably is a god). It’s true that there are already cars that can park themselves but this looks more fun. So how does it work? Sensors my friends. 12 ultrasonic sensors, 6 in the front and six in the back, keep the system on track.
Valeo’s system is quite smart. It has a CPU that analyzes and finds the best way to park a car. Phones can communicate with cars like this over WiFi or other protocols. Think about the possibilities here. A system like this can park your car or get it out and bring it to you. In a couple of decades, the whole process of driving will probably be automated.
What’s your take? Impressive or what?
