Meet the ACTON R RocketSkates: a pair of smart electric skates with a remote free design. You just strap these over your shoes, and you are ready to rock. Each skate has two hub motors controlled by an on-board microprocessor. They communicate with each other to maintain the speed and balance. What’s neat about the RocketSkates is that they can be controlled via the ACTION app. The companion app lets you monitor your skates, track your routes, check battery status and more.
These skates don’t require you to hold a remote to control them. You get the job done with your feet. You can walk with them too. The developers are planning to offer coders access to their APIs or custom apps and games development. RocketSkates will be available in 3 colors. The project is on Kickstarter at this time.
