In the past, we have seen a few Apple patents on wireless charging solutions for iPhone. A couple of them involved using an Apple computer to do the job. Apple is not close to releasing such a computer yet. But the ASUS M70AD desktop shows how something like that might work. This is a machine with a wireless charging station. It supports the Qi inductive power standard, so you should be technically be able to use a case like this charge your iPhone with this machine.
This machine also has built-in NFC, so you can connect your smartphone or tablet to share photos and control your PC. Let’s not forget about the built-in UPS that offers emergency power for your computer. This machine has:
- 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7
- 16 GB DDR3 RAM
- Hybrid flash + HDD storage
- Windows 8.1
- Wireless charger
- 1000 GB SATA
Wouldn’t it be nice if Apple released a computer that was even more iPhone/iPad friendly? That could very well happen in the future. For now, if you need a wireless charger for your iPhone, you can get a case and charger separately, which is not the end of the world.[where to get it]
