RipBit App Connected Surfing Tracker Hits Kickstarter
0
Just like any other sport, surfing has become a science these days. There are already a bunch of wearable sensors that can help track your performance. Take the RipBit Surfing Tracker for instance: it is a board mounted tracker that gathers data on your surf sessions. It measures the motion of the board directly, so you will have more accurate data.

The RipBit can tell you about wave count and ride time each session. You can use the SurfOne app to view max and average speed. With GPS mapping, you will be able to go over path of every wave from takeoff to kickout. The developers are working on a smart algorithm that can track air time and height for advanced surfers. This project is currently active on Kickstarter.
