The iQ5 has a rotating mechanism that lets you record audio with correct left-right stereo orientation horizontally or vertically. The mic has two elements: a directional “mid” mic that captures front-audio and a bidirectional side mic that covers ambient signal. It has an input gain of up to +40 dB and records sound in linear PCM (WAV) 16-bit/44.1kHz format. Even though there is a free companion app available for this microphone, you can use it with other pro apps to prepare your audio.
