Square Brings Tap to Pay on iPhone to US Sellers

There are already plenty of simple gadgets that let sellers accept payments from their customers more easily. Square now allows US sellers to accept contactless payments on their iPhone. Users simply have to open the Square POS app and have the buyer pay by tapping a contactless payment device, such as a digital wallet or a contactless credit card.

This service uses iPhone’s built-in features for customer and business data security. Card numbers are not stored on the device or Apple servers upon payment. This service is available on iPhone 11 or later running iOS 15.5+.
