iOS 7 App Requirement, Samsung & Solar Phones
0Developing applications for iOS is not super easy. Developers need to have a great idea, know Objective-C and other technologies very well, and promote their apps professionally. They also need to make sure their apps stay compliant with Apple’s requirements. The latest one is about iOS 7. Apple has been patient with app developers whose apps are not optimized for the new version. But it has posted a note, announcing that new apps and app updates must be built with the latest version of Xcode 5 and optimized for iOS 7 starting February 1.
Starting February 1, new apps and app updates submitted to the App Store must be built with the latest version of Xcode 5 and must be optimized for iOS 7. Learn more about preparing your apps by reviewing the iOS Human Interface Guidelines.
Many top app developers have already done so. But if you have an app and plan to update it or code a new one, you may want to pay attention to what Apple is asking here.
Speaking of 2014, can the new year be the year of solar smartphones? I am doubtful that we are going to see a solar iPhone next year. Nevertheless, Korean media is reporting that Samsung is going to focus on solar power technology for smartphones next year. We already know from patents granted in this field that Apple is also interested. This is probably wild speculation by the media. But let’s think about this. Wearable computers are the future. Sooner or later, these companies are going to pay more attention to solar tech to charge these coming wearable devices. I doubt we will see solar phones soon though.
