Operating a microscope should not have to be too difficult. These devices have been getting more sophisticated overtime. But you are still going to have to spend a fortune to get one with super fancy features. That’s where the Skylight comes in. It is an exciting invention that connects smartphones such as the iPhone to microscopes. Your smartphone can then be used to capture photos and videos of what you are observing for sharing with the world.

The SkyLight can essentially upgrade those old microscopes into digital ones. Once you install your phone on the SkyLight and adjust it over the eyepiece of your microscope, you are ready to share your experiments with the world. The creator of this device, Andy Miller, is quite confident about the potential of this tool. The SkyLight would give medical practitioners the chance to remotely view images from microscopes. It comes with various attachments to work with almost any microscope.

The SkyLight has a lot of potential. It has already raised close to $5000 on Kickstarter.com. This invention can prove quite handy for mobile medical professionals.
